PASIGHAT, Mar 21: The Director Accounts and Treasury, government of Arunachal
Pradesh, Sukhamay Bhowmik inaugurated the highly demanded Sub-Treasury Office in the
Ruksin ADC office campus on Monday morning in presence of the Pasighat West MLA
Ninong Ering, DC Tayi Taggu, ADC Tajing Jonnom, Regional Manager (SBI) and Managers
of APRB Pasighat and Sille. Among others, government officials, PRI leaders and common
public of the area were also attended the inaugural programme. In his brief address, Director (A&T) Bhowmik congratulated the people and further said that
with opening of the sub-treasury office at Ruksin, government officials as well as common
people would have a sigh of relief. He advised officials to keep up the aspirations of the
people with good team work, starting from the very first day itself adding they should
discharge public services with complete dedication, ensure transparency, smooth and
systematic dealings. Shortage of manpower and required infrastructure development would
be taken care off to ensure effective service delivery, Bhowmik assured in his deliberation.
According to the local MLA Ninong Ering, the long felt need of a sub-treasury office at
Ruksin has finally been fulfilled with the inauguration of the office. He extended his gratitude to the Pema Khandu led present government and all who made this possible. He kept saying
that so far all government transactions were executed through the District Treasury Office at
Pasighat, about 35 KM from here, which involves a lot of resources and time. Government
employees and the general public had to travel to Pasighat for withdrawal of salaries and
other financial transactions. Saying that a new feather has been added today Ering expressed
hope that establishment of the new Sub-treasury office would cover a vast area under Ruksin subdivision benefitting immensely the local public and government officials with its effective and prompt services in coming days.
DC Tayi Taggu said that the Accounts and Treasury plays a prominent role in the treasury
administration. Treasury officials at all levels were the vital links in the government’s
delivery system and their efficiency and competence would enhance the government’s overall performance. Sub-Treasury Office at Ruksin was created to ensure strict compliance of financial rules and procedures relating to all government transactions in the subdivision.
Independent treasury functioning assumed much significance with the growing need for more financial control over the increasing government transactions involving huge public
expenditure. Among others Ruksin ADC Tajing Jonnom and ZPM Aruni Jamoh also spoke and extended their thanks and gratitude to the MLA Ninong Ering and the Director Accounts and Treasury in particular for their initiative and the state government as a whole for granting the STO at Ruksin
